Through music and specialized kinesthetic exercises we can help heal and enrich people’s lives. We are a team of musicians to share our passion of music with those who have special needs. These may be needs you are born with, needs you acquire throughout life, or simply through the ageing process. We offer a very wide range of activities. Improvisation is the key to our success – to adapt the approach to an individual’s circumstances and the tools available.
Music as therapy
Specialised programmes are held each week, to develop and promote physical and emotional wellness and to address the unique needs of individuals and groups living with a variety of disabilities and challenges. Music has nonverbal, creative, structural, and emotional qualities. These are used in the therapeutic relationship to facilitate contact, interaction, self-awareness, learning, self-expression, and communication.
Music as Therapy assists a wide range of clients who live with challenges including brain injury, physical disabilities, chronic pain, mental health issues, trauma, learning or developmental delays, autism, Asperger’s, hearing loss, Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
